Everyday Entertaining
Tea for More Than Two

I am very fortunate to be the very proud godfather of little Violet: my best friend’s daughter. I was so excited when she came into the world that I offered to have a baby naming party for her. We started off in the afternoon with a tea for 40 people in my apartment, followed by an intimate dinner later that evening, also in my home. For both celebrations, the theme was her name; everything was in shades of violet.
Both the tea party and dinner were fantastic. The food was delicious, and you could feel the love in the room. The tea party was young and sweet, just like Violet, while our intimate dinner was a little more adult and celebrated the people who care about her most. It was a real fun evening full of toasts and good wishes. Violet’s mother’s toast to everyone at the table was so long we nearly overcooked the veal while enthralled by her loving words. The evening was fabulous, a wonderful way to end a day of celebration.
As always, there's more to come!
